Welcome to the University of Missouri Satellite Engineering Team

Here you can learn more about this future organization's main operations

Our Purpose

University of Missouri Satellite Engineering Team has a goal and a vision that shoots for the stars. Our purpose is to design satellites here at the University of Missouri-Columbia with the final objective of launching the team satellite aboard a commercial rocket and placing it in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). While in LEO, the satellite is expected to continually transmit data and receive commands via a student designed and built ground station that will operate autonomously, and or manually. The type of data transmitted to ground station will be dictated by the payload. This organization serves the purpose of developing students to become excellent in their satellite engineering abilities.

The University of Missouri Satellite Engineering Team is actively seeking students that are ambitious, creative, and resilient. As a team, we will learn from each other's engineering discipline focal strengths, professional experience, and creativity. Each contributing team member from various engineering and scientific backgrounds will play a key role in ensuring mission success. As the universe constantly expands forward and outward, so shall we as a team, seeking to constantly expand the limits of our creativity, intellect, and problem-solving.
